Jonah was a man of God who had an impressive resume. He was one who spoke to the people on behalf of the Lord. However, when the Word of the Lord came to Jonah concerning Nineveh, Jonah refused to comply knowing that the Lord would show compassion to the wicked. In an effort to out run God, Jonah hopped a ship heading in the opposite direction.
