For a moment, it seemed as though all hope was lost. Many had left behind their former ways of life to follow after this one called Jesus. Some believed that it was He who would be the Messiah, the one to take reign over Jerusalem as King. However, it was only shortly after that Jesus was betrayed, tried, and crucified as a criminal. Jesus gave His last breath in what seemed to be a horrible defeat. It wasn’t until three days later that prophecy was fulfilled. Jesus Christ victoriously rose from the dead.
